About the role
A guest spot is a short residency in a studio you don't work at — a weekend, a week, sometimes a season. The host shop provides the chair and often promotes the dates; you bring your book. Residencies are the longer version, often recurring on a fixed rotation.
Guest spots move fast and usually fall over on logistics: dates, chair fee, who takes the deposits, and who owns the client afterwards.

What you’ll be doing

Pay
Usually a flat chair fee per day or week, or a split on what you take. Agree it in writing along with what happens to no-shows and cancelled deposits.
